“You’re not just the stories in your head or the pain you’ve carried. You are already, clear, awake, and whole. The work is about clearing what clouds it, not becoming someone else.”

My Path:

Meditation came to me before psychology did. I started meditating when I was a young child, not because anyone taught me, but because something in me already knew. That early connection has been the through-line of my life. In my thirties I began exploring various spiritual traditions more seriously, and four years ago I settled into a particular tradition. My orientation has been shaped most deeply by my own meditation practice and by my study of esoteric-based frameworks, such as the Pathwork and Anthroposophical literature.

I came to psychology wanting to understand the spiritual depths of being human, how we come to truly know and be ourselves in this world. What I found, at first, was a field largely focused on the construct of the mind. As I expanded into depth psychology, EMDR, and NeuroAffective Touch, the field began opening for me, and yet, even then, something still felt limited by the constructs we decide we are. And while psychological frameworks are helpful, they are often caught in the same framework, the mind. My spiritual path is what has connected me to an understanding that we are more than our psychological framework.

What I have come to is this: our psychology is a roadmap back to ourselves. It is not who we are. It is what we are working to live through rather than identify with. That distinction is at the center of how I work.

I started my private practice in 2017. Before this, I worked in various settings such as a group practice with clients in the corporate arena, a group practice doing psychological evaluations with children and adults, and a depth-focused internship. I chose private practice, because I wanted the freedom to be openly myself with clients, which is, in my experience, what allows me to actually help.

My own work, in facing what is hard, sitting with depths that have at times felt unfathomable, working with ancestral patterns, and learning to live inside my own energetic structure, has shaped how I sit with the people who come to see me. I do not ask anyone to go anywhere I have not been willing to go in my own life.

How I work:

I am direct and compassionate. I aim to speak directly to the soul-knowing in someone, to what they already know underneath the psychological layers, so that they feel heard and met at the level where they actually live.

My strength as a clinician is navigation. I tend to identify patterns quickly, and I help clients map those patterns and unwind them. Most of the people I see are working with belief frameworks that formed in childhood, often in response to circumstances they had no say in, and those frameworks can be intricate. Tracing them back, seeing them clearly, and releasing what they have been doing in someone’s life is much of the work.

I work primarily with EMDR, which I trained in through the Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy, and I have additional training in Dr. Laurel Parnell’s Attachment-Focused EMDR. I draw also on NeuroAffective Touch®, Thought Field Therapy (TFT), and depth psychology. The work does not have to be slow; however, I do believe it’s better to be thorough and built around the particular person sitting with me. Most clients choose to stay in therapy with me for multiple years, through different rhythms of their lives.

Who I work with:

The people who find their way to me are committed to deep inner work. They tend to have an active spiritual life or practice, often longtime seekers, clinicians, or healers. They have often come up against psychological patterns that are blocking the deeper movement they are reaching toward. Those patterns could have shaped their careers, their relationships, the way they have allowed themselves to be, etc.

This practice is LGBTQ+ affirming. All identities, orientations, and relationship structures are welcome here.
